I hope things work out for him. It can't be easy for him to leave school and the team.
Blame it on saint if you don't like the language.
Too bad that this not only causes his NFL future problems, he also loses his schooling for another career. That'll teach them!

The HS my daughter will attend next year won a state championshipOriginally posted by Hot Lunch View PostThis really is to bad for Harvey. He is a great kid. I have a ton of respect for him. Only at BYU does this keep you off the field.
Good luck to Harvey. I hope that someone takes a chance on him in the supplemental draft or as a FA.
with the star running back already having 2 kids by his senior year.
I feel bad for Harvey, especially the public humiliation. I'm glad BYU does have an Honor Code and personally I would not trade a BCS bowl or Final Four to let athletes have a different set of rules then the general student body.

Yes, but unless the atmoshpere at BYU changes over the next 20 years, I doubt they would want their child at BYU. How would you like your child going to a school where so many might refer to the person as a "love child".Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostGreat genes coming from those two.
I think it would happen and that is a shame. I wish there was another way to handle such things. I prefer the way they do it in wards better. Of course in the ward, you don't have very public figures for everyone to comment on.
Note: I am not condemning people commenting, just wish there was a better way to meet out the punishment.

He could enroll at Utah Valley or the U or USU or Weber. This shouldn't end college for him.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostShit.

Absolutely agree. Unfortunately I'm fairly certain I may be dealing with that very scenario in the not too distant future.Originally posted by byu71 View PostYes, but unless the atmoshpere at BYU changes over the next 20 years, I doubt they would want their child at BYU. Here's an idea. Let BYU be in charge of giving kids a college education and let bishops be in charge of ecclesiastical guidance in their lives.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostI feel bad for Harvey, especially the public humiliation. And how noble of us to come up with this idea the day our star running back breaks the rules.Originally posted by Colly Wolly View PostHere's an idea.
