I guess this means his brother isn't coming to BYU."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Better now than later. 2,200 miles is a long way from home and he's not lds. So he's going to Boston College, ONLY 1,100 miles from home, and he is catholic.Originally posted by Portland Ute View PostReading the DesNews sports section and I noticed this and hadn't seen it discussed here:

Also, he was one of 7 LBs in the class? Yeah, we're not going to worry too much about this.

We recruited him for his little brother, supposedly the next big quarterback disappointment.Originally posted by Jacob View PostBetter now than later. 2,200 miles is a long way from home and he's not lds. So he's going to Boston College, ONLY 1,100 miles from home, and he is catholic.

I think we recruited him and he had a little brother, not for his little brother.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostWe recruited him for his little brother, supposedly the next big quarterback disappointment. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I have a neighbor who knows his father in Florida. Apparently his father felt they were recruiting his older son to land the younger. This is second hand so take it FWIW.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI think we recruited him and he had a little brother, not for his little brother."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Really? That's interesting. This obviously isn't a chris/jabari type scenario, as the little brother has no connection to the idea of coming to byu at all. Qb is a position where we can always pull lds talent, so it seems a bit odd that byu would make a kid who has no reason whatsoever to come to byu such a priority.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostI have a neighbor who knows his father in Florida. Well, the older brother is now going to BC, so its not like he had no talent at all. I do remember reading that this younger brother was the better prospect, but that the older brother was no scrub.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostReally? That's interesting. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
