I have not paid any attention to BYU recruiting this year. It seems to lack the intrigue, T'eo, or superstars, KVN, Heaps, Apo, of previous years. Is this a blue collar hole filling type class, or am I just out of touch?

The only real LDS blue chipper was Langi. I think he chose to go elsewhere. Between there being no real high caliber LDS kids other than Harvey the Ute and the fact that BYU has a glut of freshman not leaving on missions and a large group of RMs returning, there wasn't many scholies to give out.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI have not paid any attention to BYU recruiting this year. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I spoke w/ someone this afternoon who saw him play in two games this year and thinks that he's an absolute steal. Says he's got a big arm and excellent feet and just needs coaching but that he has all the tools.
I know Gurney is also pretty high on him and says basically the same things.Ute-ī sunt fīmī differtī

i watched him play earlier this year. he is physically very big, and he moves fairly well for his size. he's got some judgment/accuracy issues, but he gets some zip on it. he's a good walk on prospect, but i'm glad we didn't burn a schollie on him until he shows what he can do.Originally posted by woot View PostMeasurables seem great, but not even rated by the recruiting outlets. Gurney tweeted this morning that he thinks Hill will turn out to be the biggest get of this year.Originally posted by oxcoug View PostI spoke w/ someone this afternoon who saw him play in two games this year and thinks that he's an absolute steal. Consider the source, but still...At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Quiet? I've had 40+tweets this morning on it. I think it's about done, from byu's perspective. No big surprises, and everyone who was expected has signed.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBYU's signing day website is up and active. Some of those kids look like they are 15 yrs old, esp Kaufusi.
Is there anything happening today on the BYU front? And possible signings or anything to follow? Seems very quiet. At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
