You are a moran but I will remind you that nobody was going to take the job when Kiffin took it because the sanctions were on their way. Pete left in January 2010. Kiffin was hired a week later. Sanctions were announced that June. Kiffin was one of the few people that would be willing to assume such a responsibility. Thank you for offering your life in exchange for that answer.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostFor the life of me I can't fathom why anyone would have put Lane Kiffin in charge of taking care of some goldfish, let alone a football team.Fitter. What about Florida hiring Lane? How is Lane as an OC without the HC responsibilities? Do we know? He was Co-OC with Sark. Who was really the brains behind that operation?Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostYou are a moran but I will remind you that nobody was going to take the job when Kiffin took it because the sanctions were on their way. I think that Lane going to Florida is more an example of how desperate Florida and Muschamp are right now, not a commentary on Lane's abilities.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostWhat about Florida hiring Lane? Lane has had more than enough opportunities to put his stamp on offenses...Raiders, Tennessee, SC....I think we know.
Another thing we know: Pete made a lot of the calls on offense. So I would attribute a lot of the Sarkiffin success to Pete. His insistence on being so involved in the offense is one of the reasons NoCho bolted, but also one of the reasons the team was so successful, imo.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

No, Lane Kiffin is a moran, and anyone who hires him is a fool. It's not like Tennessee and the Raiders had sanctions coming. You're not a bright football mind just because your dad is.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostYou are a moran but I will remind you that nobody was going to take the job when Kiffin took it because the sanctions were on their way. You forgot to mention that you were WRONG! You said it would never happen.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Postlame. unhappy with this decision. I like sark and wish him well elsewhere, do not think he will be a good head coach at SC.
Haden and everyone else needs to stop hiring Pete retreads, and that includes CEO.
Also, Ted Miller agrees with you that it's a crappy hire. He says Husky fans are saying good riddance, which is the sense I get in this corner of Pac 12 Country.

There can be more than one moran at a time. Lane and The_Douger can co-exist peacefully.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostNo, Lane Kiffin is a moran, and anyone who hires him is a fool. Sark has been remarkably consistent at Washington. PAC 12 record in every year as head coach
4-5
5-4
5-4
5-4
5-4
How much are they paying him for his stellar record of bowl eligibility? How big of a Nike bag was needed?
I wonder why Peterson turned them down. Or is he going to Texas? I thought it would be Peterson.
