CEO won't get the job, but he is definitely a fun dude.

                Very nice.

Wasn't that music from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly? If not, it was one of those Eastwood spaghetti westerns.

                      • Farm Unfiltered. These are great videos, very inspiring. BYU should do a good pre and post game video.

I don't even remember when or which channel, but as I was flipping around there were a couple of talking heads on TV discussing USC and their turnaround. One said that CEO was taking the George Costanza approach to being a head coach - and was essentially doing the exact opposite of everything Kiffin did while he was there. Got a chuckle out of me.

Obviously USC's #1 priority is inking their top choice as HC, but keeping Orgeron as their top assistant has to be right up there too. Any chance that Orgeron is their top choice?

Top choice, no chance. If he were SC's top choice he would not be interim right now, he would have a deal in hand. The school is at a huge disadvantage for HS recruiting right now because of the coaching situation. SC doesn't benefit at all by extending this hiring process if O is the top choice all along. Coach O would take the job in a heartbeat. I think there is a chance that the school would hire him, but more because their other choices say no, which is why we see things playing out right now. He certainly isnt making things easy for Haden....the players love him, the fans love him, the national media is embracing him, and the school is ranked and winning again. If he wins out (very possible) I would not be surprised if he were given the job.

He already has a standing offer to be the top assistant, as well the official D line coach. Haden has made that public already. Coach O has headed up recruiting for over a decade (albeit non-consecutively because he did leave for Ole miss and tennessee for a bit). Any coach that comes in will have a standing order to keep Coach O because he is a recruiting witch. Much of the recruiting success SC has had is because of him.

I think the school has to wait until the bowl season ends and then throw a major bag of money at a big name. I'm talking NFL money.....7-8MM a year sort of thing...the kind of money that will make a big name reconsider everything. If they are looking to hire Jack Del Rio, then might as well stick with CEO. At least he understands the college game.

Is Del Rio the biggest name right now?
