They've clobbered big boys before - think Alabama

That is the exception. My prediction is that if anything happens it will be the loss of a few scholarships.Originally posted by happyone View PostThey've clobbered big boys before - think Alabama"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

And with the renewal of most of their commitments it probably means a .500 season is not in their immediate future.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostThat is the exception. Okay, I can agree with that. Although if the scholarship penality is stiff enough it could affect the program in ways the 3D would not like for a few years, again think Alabama. In addition to the scholarships they might have to forfeit some games played during those years. I personally think forfeiting games already played is more eyewash than anything else.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostThat is the exception. I'm surprised that Chow is staying at FUCLA; all conversations I had made it seem like he was really unhappy in Westwood.
I've got say I'm indifferent about the return of Goat Boy (Kiffin). He's a great recruiter and hopefully he grows into a great head coach. I'm glad he's trying to establish his own identity, as he should, but he needs to follow PC's example and stop being such a chap ass. He's the main guy my family had a gripe with, but if my brother is happy about the hire, then I should follow suit.
The guys I know on defense are overjoyed that Monte & Eddie O are in town. I told the boys that they will get coached by a legend (Monte) & possibly the best DL coach in the country. Orgeron will get the front 7 back to the standard that we've grown accustomed to at SC. I'm looking forward to watching the defense next season.

I think the process is they meet with SC during those dates to discuss everything, then they'll announce the punishment in 6-8 weeks.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBtw, one other huge announcement from last night that I forgot to mention: NCAA will be meeting with SC the weekend of Feb 19-21 to discuss the Reggie Bush/OJ Mayo stuff. Looks like we will know one way or another at that time if this is going to be a wrist slap or something serious.
Here's the article:

Sources familiar with the investigation have told Yahoo! Sports that the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions will meet Feb. 19-21 to address what investigators uncovered at USC. According to typical NCAA procedures, if sanctions are necessary, they will be determined and then made public via a news conference within six to eight weeks of the February hearing."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

Didn't Kiff have to PAY $800K to get out of that place? He didn't "take" any of their money. In fact, he happily gave it back to get away from those hillbillies.
Videos like this make me wonder whether Deliverance really was fictional.
Rocky Top is a cool song, though.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Now this is something a little different. The performer is Renaldo Woolridge, a Tennessee basketball player. He's from L.A. and played his high school hoops at Harvard-Westlake. I remember him. (His dad Orlando Woolridge.) He won't "leave you like Kiffin," baby.

I'm sure her employer if she has one would love that video. If she is her own employer that will be great for business.Originally posted by dabrockster View PostLOL.. I wonder if her employer has gotten that email yet....
When Franchione left Bama for A@M the vitriol was unleashed on him. He left in much less of a lurch and was fleeing probation, but he was still despised in the area for several years and while he is still hated I am sure that winning has cured that quite a bit.

The Kiffin era off to a fantastic start. I imagine this is the kind of stuff recruits and their parents want to see, at least SC found a guy that can lead them through the likely NCAA sanctions forth coming.
I wonder if Pete is thinking "Tell me again why I had to leave to protect our NCs and Heismans."Get confident, stupid
