I went to practice today, they were practicing very hard, in fact they went 2 1/2 hours today and still have another practice tonight. They are limiting the hitting because they are trying to limit injuries, but they have already had 1 full padded scrimmage and will have 2 more before they play Oklahoma and then during Oklahoma game week they will hit Monday or Tuesday. So they will hit plenty and still be able to limit the injuries.

The top 3 corners on the depth chart are out, 2 starting offensive lineman, starting nose tackle, and several other players are banged up and seeing limited action.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Jerry made that call. I'm just impressed we managed to get away without Jerry's name or the Cowboys logo on the ticket.

Any chance that Jerry is throwing out a little dig on OK? I mean, I wouldn't be so stoked if were were playing in the "Ute Classic".
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I kinda doubt it. He's pretty close to OU. He worked with Switzer for years, after all. After seeing the stadium and the concessions and everything, it doesn't surprise me that the Cowboys are on the tickets, too. I just didn't realize the game had been named. I was thinking of it as a "kickoff classic" or "pigskin classic," but I should have known it was the "Jerry classic"!

                • Maybe one of the kickers will hit the huge jumbotron that hovers over midfield. The Titans kicker hit it yesterday during the stadium's debut game, and afterwards, Jerry Jones said he won't have it raised; when that happens there should just be a do-over.

Don't tell Jerry what to do with his toys.

                  • It's no secret that magic happens in Provo, but what was BYU's signature road win last season by the Hall/Unga/Collie crew? Don't say Washington, because we all know that Sam Bradford isn't going to toss the ball up in the air after every big play.

It's nice to know you think that BYU defeats OU in Provo.

This is a great idea, actually. My wife has never seen the Alamo or the Riverwalk, so why not do that on Thurs, head to Austin on Fri and stay the night there with our friends, then head up to Dallas first thing in the morning on Saturday. We can go out to a Dallas dinner after the game. UT plays some typical community college loser on Saturday, so Friday night before the game in Austin should be fun.

PS it is pretty telling that BYU/OU are playing each other in Dallas and I have to go down to UT in Austin to find something fun to do the night before the game.
Yes, there's absolutely nothing to do in dallas so drive to austin and listen to the advice of an okie (okies generally aspire to living in Big D). Good strategy.

Now you're asking for hotel advice. 2 million people live in DCounty, it sports one of the largest airports in the world and you are stymied over where to stay. Oh my god, what are you to do!!??

My hometown is being assaulted by a socalifornicator and a Lakers fan, to boot...I must respond; I must protest!

If I see an overweight dude wearing BYU clothing with three same-aged children next to him, I will pour beer on him just...because...

Are you still upset that nobody paid attention to your boring itinerary? What was it again? golfing and boating?
