Thoughts about TCU vs. Boise

Two thoughts I have had while watching this game:

    1. Does this jeopardize future Mid Major BCS matchups (esp if it winds up being a ratings dud) or will it have no impact? I tend to think it really won't have much impact.

    2. Now that BSU is earning respect, does the MWC pull the trigger on a BSU invite ASAP, creating a "Big 4" in the conference?

I realize that there is still a lot of game left to be played but I have a feeling that there were lots of folks, even on this very board, that thought that TCU would trounce BSU. While it still may end up that way, not sure this first half is how many thought it would go.
    Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

A horrible half for TCU. Only down 3. MWC needs to invite BSU by end of month.

The though I had was that if we had those Big 4, what AQ conferences have a top 4 to match?

            Again...why?

            AQ conference guarantee? Sure, no-brainer.
Without it, I don't see what they bring except for a possible extra loss. No one ever doubted they were good.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Well, I think the MWC would have done the math to say it would get a AQ. Otherwise, you are right. But if they are going to do it, now is the time as after next season, their numbers won't count for another 4 years.

They make our conference better, football-wise. Are we in danger of never seeing an undefeated MWC champ if that happens? Sure, but if perceptions are improved, we'll be able to get a one-loss team into that non-AQ auto-bid.

These two teams have been paid the highest compliment in college football.....a compliment usually reserved only for low-scoring, under-performing, nationally televised SEC games...the game has been called a "defensive struggle."

                      The Mid Majors have arrived.

Doug Martin is a very good back. He's powerful.

TCU's dance team pwns Boise State's. And it's not even close.

Great play by Jerry Hughes stripping the ball and recovering it. This could be a huge turning point in the game.

TCU starting to look like TCU man they are fast, and shifty at the skill positions.
