That doesn't exactly roll off the tongue
"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

At least "P" didn't stand for "Predestination".

It is in the "Unconditional Election" part ... I'm not really saying Jay is a Calvinist but he has more Calvinistic flare than the rest of us.

His is my favorite theology on the board (even though my theological views are differ significantly often).
And btw, I'm not hardcore TULIP, and I think you know that and say this just to rib me a little. Which is cool. I'm probably closer to TULIP than 99% of Mormons you'll find, but a Calvinist would reject me as their own. Also btw, TULIP Calvinism is all through the BOM.

You're right ... I did ... I would describe your views as closer to "Arminianism." Agree? (But they don't have a cool acronym).

I have to admit that I did not know that. I don't think I've ever read more than 2-3 of Jay's religion posts, not because I don't think he has anything to say, I just haven't read him for some reason.

And Wikipedia links to this on the Arminianism page, so now I've finally connected the dots.

The Pelaginism page should give you a link to Semipelagianism .... Which overlaps, I think, with many Mormons beliefs about grace/salvation.

Probably yes. I don't believe atonement was limited. But my doctrinal beliefs are really a moving target, so I reserve the right to change. I've changed a lot over the years and I'm not comfortable getting too intimate about my personal beliefs.
