This one's been out there for a while, I would imagine. Looks like it was taken on Fremont Street before the bowl game. Pierce has been sitting on this for too long.Originally posted by kccougar View Post

Pretty sure the BYU Bookstore has some great fudge that they'll pack and ship. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Originally posted by kccougar View Post

I was looking at the local high school governing board and saw some scores go by for some games. One helmet looked awfully familiar.

Just saw this. I hope the BYU doesn't go after them. Every "Y" team should want that awesome logo.Originally posted by BigPiney View PostI was looking at the local high school governing board and saw some scores go by for some games. One helmet looked awfully familiar.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I think BYU would come off pretty badly in the press if they did that. A lot, maybe a majority, use a college logo or a variation of it. When I was at Brighton they used the Clemson paw, my kids HS uses the Michigan St S and the Norte Dame Leprechaun as example.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostJust saw this. We had the SMU mustang on our HS helmets. I've seen plenty of High Schools on TV with the Michigan helmet design.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI think BYU would come off pretty badly in the press if they did that. I went to Pleasant Grove High School.

We apparently borrowed the Minnesota Viking logo.

Karl Hubenthal who was a sports cartoonist for the Los Angeles Times, did the original drawing of the Viking logo in 1961 for Bert Rose, then the General Manager of the Minnesota Vikings, who had contacted him. The logo itself depicts the fierce warrior from Scandinavia, what is now Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The people of the era and who lived there referred to the warriors as Norsemen, or Northmen.

Looks like my alma mater has adopted the Alabama A. That's a bummer for me.
