I don't think it's that big a deal, though. A lot of schools had to adjust to get rid of offensive logos or mascots. OU had to abandon its sideline mascot, Little Red.

Feel free to pile on about Swoop, the angry red tailed hawk, or whatever it is. You won't hurt many ute fans feelings. Very few like Swoop or the implication that it may be the start of changing the logo or team name.

I think your best bet to get under ute fan's skin is to stick to making fun of the overuse of the PAC 12 logo.
