I thought every frozen yogurt place around sold Boba. I guess it is just the places around our house.

good point. I've been missing out on the good thai mocha drinks when all along I could have just headed to a frozen yogurt shop.

I'll have to try this bubble tea. The place we get donuts every football Saturday advertises it, it always looked scary to me.

There are all sorts of boba drinks. Many of them come in weird looking colors and mixes. The boba itself tastes somewhat like gummy bears. They are sweet and chewy. I prefer the boba in the slushies. As surfah mentioned, boba drinks are usually served with a sealed thin plastic top, much like Saran wrap. The drinks come with really fat straws so that you can suck up all the tapioca pearls.

If you can't find any authentic stuff, apparently you can go buy some as a yogurt topping and I guess eat them that way.

I think you will like it, though. It is really good stuff.

You can find it here but not very easily and even then, there is little variety.

Back in south county, we lived about 5 blocks from an Asian strip mall. Summer time was boba time. Actually, all the time was boba time.

I preferred it in the slushie/slurpee stuff but it was also really good in that mocha goo. I also liked saving the cups with the crazy cartoon characters on them. I miss boba

Gossip at 1629 W 3500 S in West Valley. They have a decent variety, too. Down in Utah County, there was a place called Cooking Taste Right (Muchies) on University Avenue around 3000 North or so. They like changing the restaurant's name, so I don't know what it's called now. They have a good variety, too.

I remember back in the day at hogi yogi...you could also get "teriyaki bowls" as well as hoagie sandwiches along with frozen yogurt. None of it was good, but you could get it there. I don't doubt your frozen yogurt place is good, authentic stuff.

I have no idea if it is authentic or even good since it doesn't appeal to me at all, but everyone behind the counter is Asian You should probably get out more.
