    lol

Here! Here! Citation it is and the entire issue is resolve. See, isn't that easy?

We'll chalk it up to lazy reporting of a citation vs. arrest.

While an arrest would be hard to keep quiet, a citation would be easily go unnoticed.

      From the trib:

Here’s what I know: Te’o, a sophomore, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of alchohol and two other traffic violations on Aug. 29, exactly a week before the Cougs played Oklahoma.
He was pulled over by Provo City Police and cited that night within Provo City limits. The charges were officially filed in Provo City Justice Court on Sept. 18.
So he was not even charged until 3 weeks later.

When Te’o, 20, failed the field sobriety test, he was given a portable breath test, which also determined he had been using alcohol. He was then taken to the Provo Police Station, where another test showed his blood alcohol level to be in excess of Utah’s legal limit, .08 percent.

Argyle said he could not release the exact results of the test.

Te’o was not taken to the Utah County Jail, which is the normal procedure for those arrested on suspicion of DUI, Argyle said.

I think there is a simple thing we can learn from all of this:

There is no media conspiracy for or against Utah or BYU
BM and Whittingham both appear to be stand up guys when it comes to disciplining players and both should be trusted.

Now please can we never have another anti-media thread of BM or Whittingham aren't tough/inconsistent on discipline thread on CUF again. Reserve those threads for cougarboard and utefans.

Preferential treatment from the cops and the media? This is just too much!

I'm being sarcastic. If you haven't figured out that this is my primary M.O. here you must think I'm a total jackass.

That being said, I do think there is more to this story than is on the surface. I really don't care too much about it, other than the fact that it is a great way to stir up my CUF brethren unto anger. I do take a certain sick pleasure from these types of things.

This is not the place to stir things up. They have a place for stirring things up, it is called cougarboard. That is the place to troll, this is the place for good discussion.

I guess this is just a place to stir up things pertaining to Michael Vick, LeBron James and Sabermetrics.

I found this gem on another board, who do you think it came from?

The only explanation is one of the following:

                        1) The media in Utah is lazy when it comes to digging for BYU dirt. (Not a problem when it comes to Utah guys, see Mo Neal.)

                        2) The media in Utah is complicit with the BYU program and has been covering for Bronco until Teo was kicked off the team

                        3) Bronco thinks we are all as dumb as he thinks BYU fans are.

                        4) Bronco knew about this six weeks ago and he did nothing about it until now.

                        5) The police were super stealthy this time.

That is pure gold! There are many options, but they all make BYU or the Utah County media and police cartel look stupid! I wish I had come up with it.

This is my problem with the honor code. Let's face it. If it wasn't for the religious thing and which coach is the more righteous dude, conversations wouldn't get that heated.

It works both ways. Urban Meyer tries to help some kid who had an alcohol problem. I can't remember the details. I do remember BYU fans all over Urban and that wouldn't happen at our school My feeling towards those BYU fans was, who gives a shit what you folks think.

Now we have the Ute fans worrying about when the kid was cited, what did the stupid media know and when did they know it.

My school is more moral than your school. No you're not, see. It is entertaining, but due to my obsession with the honor code I can't just sit back and enjoy it.

Well, it would appear to be #5. Or #1. #3 was clearly a joke related to recent comments by The Man.

I'm guessing the only point you find offensive is #4, which is a possibility, is it not?
