Shiloahs dad was interviewed last night and he said that Bronco treated Shiloah like a son and gave him every opportunity to succeed, and that Shiloah lied to Bronco and was given several opportunities to come clean but never did. He was happy that Bronco gave his son the benefit of the doubt and that Shiloah might have still had a chance to play at BYU in the future (after at least a year suspension) had he not lied. He was very complimentary of Bronco and said he was on his way to Utah to have a heart to heart with his son.
Portland, why try to single the cases it out? It doesn't do any good. Neal was arrested and jailed. Marsh, we never really heard about other then being kicked off for disciplinary reasons - and that came straight from Whittingham, not the media. Media only followed Whitt's lead on that.
I'm drawing a blank right now on BYU's basketball player that was arrested for suspicion of DUI and then kicked off the team (he stayed in school and graduated). That was certainly reported right away.

"It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV
Conspiracy in Utah? Nope. Favored treatment in Utah County? Very plausible.
This incident took place in Utah County. The Daily Herald should have been the outlet to pick up on this. I have no doubt that BYU enjoys a very elevated status amongst the folks at the Daily Herald.
It's not hard to believe that the good folks at the Herald turned a blind eye. It's hard not to do such when you are out at an airport tarmack in early September enjoying an inevitable BCS championship. Who wanted to put a damper on that euphoria?
The Daily Herald, I am sure is the only paper covering BYU. For sure.

Do we need to have Lingo start a Marty Johnson Defenders club for you funk?
Marty had how many DUIs? 3? I dont care if he turned his life around or not, he should have never been given the chance to play football again.
Also I am not bitching about the way players are disciplined and really neither is PU, PU thinks their is some sort of conspiracy going on in the media in regards to how things are reported regarding both BYU and Utah.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

So why is it okay to go after Marty Johnson for his indiscretions and not Harvey Unga? I hope you can at the very least see the inconsistency. By the way it was 2 DUI charges.
I doubt that it was an isolated incident of Unga dealing prescription drugs. So if he dealt prescription drugs twice am I allowed to make jokes about it?
I do think with Marty Johnson if you cut football out of his life completely after the 2nd DUI he may have never reformed.

Well, the papers said he was arrested, but junkie says he wasn't. I don't want to have a burn notice placed on me yet by the incredibly high-strung CUF board royalty just yet -- so, citation it is!
