The first half inning was pretty sloppy all the way around; bad throw by Wright, Puljos has an error, Lincy hits a batter. They were lucky to only be down two at the end of it.

You could tell Lincecum was nervous, his fastball was high and it wasn't until the 2nd that he really went to his 12-6er.

When he hit Jeter I thought "oh, great, this is going to be a disaster". But I couldn't help but think about his opening day start and how poorly he pitched then. You're absolutely right, his fastball kept tailing up and I kept waiting for his off speed pitches to show up, but that didn't really happen until the 2nd inning.

While I'm thinking of it, Giants catching prospect Buster Posey skipped a level, went from A San Jose to AAA in Fresno.

I got to thinking how good this team could be with a potential rotation of Lincecum, Cain, Bumgarner, Alderson, and either Zito or Sanchez and Sandoval and Posey in the lineup somewhere.

Looks like the Giants are trying to acquire V-mart and Ryan Garko from Cleveland.

They said they are not willing to give up Posey or Bumgarner, but they may give up Alderson to get V-mart.

LINCECUM! What a beast! 15ks tonight gets the Complete game, the only inning that got away from him was started by an error by Renteria.

He is flat nasty.

Also the Giants acquired Ryan Garko today, he is solid but is not the piece that will push them over the hump.

Giants trade one of their top prospects Tim Alderson to Pittsburgh for Freddy Sanchez. Not sure I like thsi deal as Sanchez doesnt provide you with any pop which is exactly what they are lacking.
