That is fascinating. They fail to call charges nearly 70% of the time and they fail to call traveling nearly 80% of the time in the last two minutes of the game.Originally posted by creekster View PostStar treatment? Maybe so. This is an intersting article.

if i'm reading the player bias chart correctly, there really isn't much, if any, star treatment going on.Originally posted by creekster View PostStar treatment? Maybe so. This is an intersting article.

I was sort of focused on G. Hayward, who seems to be getting hosed compared to most of those guys. Worse treatment than Lopez? Or Pachulia? Sheesh.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Postif i'm reading the player bias chart correctly, there really isn't much, if any, star treatment going on.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

i guess i saw hayward as one of the evidences that there isn't star treatment since he's an all-star this year. also LeBron is one that stood out. and Isaiah Thomas. then you have guys like Gortat, Lopez, Plumlee, Faried and Zeller getting all the calls.Originally posted by creekster View PostI was sort of focused on G. i guess overall, it seems pretty random. some stars getting calls, with about the same number of non stars getting calls and vice versa with the guys who don't get calls.I'm like LeBron James.

Thats a fair point. I saw it as anti-small market bias confirmed. Maybe thats what happens when you have been watching the jazz not quite get there for as long as I have.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Posti guess i saw hayward as one of the evidences that there isn't star treatment since he's an all-star this year. also LeBron is one that stood out. and Isaiah Thomas. then you have guys like Gortat, Lopez, Plumlee, Faried and Zeller getting all the calls.

I love the NBA, but I'm squarely with the monkey on this one.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I love the NBA. I have a league pass and watch a lot of games, esp the Jazz. But that game was embarrassingly bad.Originally posted by New Mexican Disaster View PostIs there anything besides cycling that you do like?

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
