    Today the Lakers dump Sasha.

    Tomorrow Sharapova dumps Sasha.

When is Bynum coming back? Isnt he playing tonight?

Nevermind. I see that Bynum is playing right now.

Has he torn anything yet? Is he out for the rest of the season yet?

Nothing torn yet. I believe he only does that against the Grizzlies. He has had a nice first half with 2 blocks and 8 free throws. I'm not holding my breath that he can play an entire season fully healthy either though.

Armenians blame Kobe for 100-year old genocide

A new endorsement deal for L.A. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant has outraged the Los Angeles Armenian community, CBS Los Angeles reported Wednesday.

Bryant’s two-year deal with Turkish Airlines to become its “global brand ambassador” has set off an uproar among his Armenian fan base because of long-simmering historical tensions between Turks and Armenians.

“We got nonstop calls to the office,” said Casper Jivalagian of the Armenian Youth Federation. “They’re all like, ‘what are you guys going to do about this?’”

The outrage stems primarily from the killing of approximately 1.5 million Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire beginning in 1915.
I didnt realize that there were so many Armenian Jazz fans. I wonder if they cheer for Memo.

I can't believe I had to bump this thread from Page 2.

Just saw a stat the Lakers have played 29 games. Only 5 of them have been against teams with a winning record. They are 2-3 in those 5 games. yikes.

Surfah and DDD have been busy in the NBA thread trying to downplay the Heat and the Celtics. Speaks volumes.

                Awesome, eh?

Their defense is absolute crap right now.

Yeah, pretty much how I feel. I am not worried, nor do I think any Lakers fans are. And I don't think the Lakers mind not being the focus and getting all of the attention. Let the Mavs, Spurs, Heat, etc. soak it all up.

I will add though that Kobe was obviously upset about the play and worried about it before hand going into that Bucks game. I don't think he got himself thrown out purposefully, but I do think he was trying to send a message to teammates. That kind of effort on the defensive end regardless of what month it is unacceptable. I could only watch a half of Pau getting pushed around.

It will come together though and the Lakers will be fine. I think they're still trying to work Bynum in and might be having similar issues like Dave Rose is having with CC back now.

The only person in the country that is worried right now about the lakers making the finals is a guy in New York City whose name rhymes with Navid Blern.

Which is precisely why I'm not worried

Sad that Phil doesn't want to play on Christmas, I hope he is able to enjoy the day still or maybe celebrate the holiday on a different day.

I don't make $10 million a year, though I do sleep with the bosses daughter so I kinda know where he is coming from.

When you play on Christmas Day every year, it gets old. That is the burden a Laker must bear, though. Also sucks that he has to work through June so often when other coaches get to go back to Illinois and ride their tractors around in May. Jax needs a break!

I was listening to Dan Patrick the other day and he was speculating on whether Jackson referring to making teams play on a "Christian" holiday was a subtle shot at Daniel Stern, who is Jewish. Personally, I think Jackson chose his words very carefully.
