The Lakers have been seriously bi-polar this game. I had not seen them rotate and play D like they did in that first quarter in a long time. Then they decide to crap the bed for the middle two quarters before turning it back on. Fear the ears!Comment

Yeah, rough night for Mamba. Encouraging though to beat one of your top challengers for the title with him being really ineffective on the offensive end. Lamar just seems to respond better to coming off the bench and playing with that second unit and Pau. Maybe it gives him a chance to read the flow of the game from the outside to see where he can be effective when he checks in. Really though, I don't think Lamar is that cerebral about things. I just think of all the Lakers, he may be the one who needs to feel like he's being challenged most. He gets bored way too easily. Against teams like Orlando and Cleveland, he has a terrible mismatch every time he has the ball or wants to crash. Speaking of which, Rashard Lewis guarding Pow! is a joke. I'm surprised they don't really use Bass to bang around with bigger teams, but obviously they have their own style--Anderson allows them to continue to have four shooters on the floor when the 2nd unit is in there with Gortat.Originally posted by Surfah View Post
