JR Smith likes to ham it up. By ham it up, I mean act like a punk. I guess he must feel that they are definitely going to win this series.

When he plays for the Lakers, he can act like that. Until then, shut up and sit down, says Triplet.

          Tonight's culprits

          1. Sasha....shooting 15% in the playoffs. 15%! Do you need to be an NBA player to shoot 15% over the course of about 16 games? The Lakers could easily find someone for the minimum NBA salary to shoot 15%. Where is Michael Cooper when we need him? Where is Glen Rice? Crimany....where is Mike Penberthy, for crying out loud!

          2. Odom....5 points is not going to cut it.

          3. Gasol....not his fault entirely and he contributed again offensively. But he needs to demand the ball in the post. One thing that is his fault...he lets them push him outside and winds up getting the ball at the top of the key. Then he turns around and shoots jumpers. He needs to force the issue and set up closer to the blocks. Also, if you are going to take the foul on defense, you might as well hack at the ball and lay some hurt down. These stupid Euro fouls with both hands straight up in the air....they do nothing to intimidate or wear down the opponent.

          4. Fisher.....5 points and.....never mind. It is getting tiresome to talk about it. Keep shooting, Fisher! Have fun out there!

The Lakers got killed tonight on the glass. I just don't get it. Gasol and Ariza gave the Lakers nothing last night. Fisher is killing me. I die a little more with each shot he chucks. Sasha too. FT shooting is atrocious. This team is all over the place.

I said it two games ago, the officials are doing far too much policing out there. It's disrupting the flow of the games. The refs in both series seem to be hypersensitive. I watched Joey Crawford the night before last follow Howard off the floor with his neck strained and ear out almost daring Dwight to say something. Such a hack. They're way too visible. The whistles are inconsistent. I have never seen 3 seconds called so much, yet some bad traveling violations have gone uncalled. I just don't get how you can let the Lakers and Rockets bang all series and now you blow on someone and it's a foul. I actually stopped watching the game last night after the flagrant foul was called on Bynum. I was elated that finally the Lakers weren't allowing someone to just waltz down the lane and throw it down. And they call a flagrant. Yet, Dahntay Jones commits a flagrant and cheap foul (remember I called him a cheap shot artist?) by blatantly tripping Kobe in the open and no whistle at all. Kobe can't even bitch about it because he'll get T'd up.

            JR Smith is a clown.

It is suprising to me to see the Lakers bigs make Nene look like a superstar. That guy can do no wrong.

I am officially on the Birdman Bandwagon. It is the feel good story of the year and I am buying every last bit of it. You would think that Ariza and Odom would be able to slow him down. I guess all the talent and athletisism can't stop an iron will and hard work.

              Do work, Birdman!

I meant Odom and Ariza not Gasol and Ariza in my previous post. Odom should be able to take Anderson, Nene, or Martin off the dribble. He's back to his old space cadet self and looking completely disinterested on both sides of the ball. Where's the 18 and 18 guy we saw a few weeks ago?

The Nuggets bigs will get a few blocks because they're good defenders. But they should not be producing on the offensive end like they have. KMart and his ugly flick of the wrist shot and one handed frozen rope shots in the lane continue to drop. Poor rotation, or lack thereof (see Odom) keep allowing Nene and Anderson dunks. One thing I have been screaming at the TV about is the Lakers defense by their bigs. Gasol and even Bynum keep playing under the rim and inside the restricted area. They're so slow and lazy and keep picking up cheap fouls. Just use your height and play straight up outside the restricted area. It's so frustrating.

I also wish the Lakers would make their fouls count more. If they're going to put the Nuggets on the line all game long then they should punish them for going inside. Which is why I was so happy that Bynum finally dished a hard foul. And consequently why I stopped watching when they ruled it a flagrant.

It's cool Birdman is back. He is what he is and he doesn't try to do more than that (Except that 3 pt attempt. Yikes!).

Phil Jackson is staring at a hefty fine, in his press conference he spent the whole time berating the refs and calling Dahntay Jones a cheap and dirty player.

The Bynum flagrant was weak. I think Reggie Miller said it best, "When the league looks at this foul, they will realize that it was indeed a hard foul, but it WAS a play on the ball.

Bynum needs to man up. He also needs the PT to do so. I am still waiting for Bynum to have that same fire that he did his rookie year, when he went at Shaq on Christmas Day.

There is no doubt that the refs are inconsistent as hell. On both ends. That being said, is this not the best playoffs in years? I am excited to watch the games every evening. I love it!

Every series the Lakers make someone look all-world. Last series it was Brooks. Remember back against the Indiana Pacers, they made Austin Croshere look all-world? He received a fat contract and never does anything again. Nene is a good player, though, so he should be given a lot of credit.

He is a really good role player. He killed the lakers last night.

It seems that JR Smith is getting under the skin of Laker fans (see: Surfah) for doing much of what Kobe has always done. Why does Smith bother you so much?

If I was a Lakers fan, I too would write him off. He was the spark that ignited the Nuggets last night, that led to a 19 point loss for the Lakers. He did so by dropping dimes and playing defense (which is unlike him). As far as him playing a fool and getting in everyones face, he is from DC. What do you expect?

The exception for this rule would be KD.

I may have to tune in for a bit just to see who this Smith guy is and why Laker fans are calling him a punk, especially when the epitome of a punk is in a Laker uniform.
