Lots of scoring in Wilt's old Bel-Air home

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...3491602.column

Many of what Chamberlain once called his home's "kinky details" are gone, among them a mirrored ceiling in the master bedroom that retracted to reveal open sky and a Cleopatra-inspired sunken bathtub that sat at the foot of the bed.

A downstairs "playroom," where Chamberlain had a wall-to-wall water bed floor, is just another room, sans water bed.

And the moat swimming pool, though still accessible through an opening in the living room floor, has been divided into three smaller bodies, a lap pool built into the middle.

      Stephen Jackson heartshates Kobe

Bryant reportedly called Jackson "young fella" during the game, and Jackson complained of Bryant throwing elbows. Jackson perhaps expected his teammates to mix it up with Bryant in his defense. Their failure to do so might have played a part in Jackson relinquishing his team captaincy Tuesday.

Lakers play tonight on TNT. It'll be the first pre-season game I've seen. Pau has been battling a tweaked hammy and may play tonight. If not tonight, then hopefully they're last game so he can be ready to go opening night.

I am anxious to see Bynum play tonight. He's leading the Lakers in scoring and minutes this preseason averaging 20 and 7 in 25-30 minutes of play. If he stays healthy I can see him being an AS this year with Yao and Shaq gone. Artest seems to be flowing with this team nicely. He's been dishing a ton of dimes.

I loved Stephen Jackson popping off early this week about Kobe. I think he even went as far as to say that he's just as good as Kobe. Kobe then went out and lit his ass up two nights ago.

I am also interested in seeing AmMo play and how the Lakers are using him. He has a pretty nice summer.

Amen. I hate the Lakers right now more than I've hated any sports team in my 3+ decades of life, but if they P-Jax starts giving him significant time and eventually replaces Kobe in the starting lineup with Morrison, they will become my second favorite NBA team. That's what I'm hoping for.

I am all aboard the Lakers train now that Bluetopia is over.

Apparently the Lakers are really good, or so I hear. I have about 3 weeks of catching up to do.

I also see that Bynum is injured again. shocker.

Nothing serious and he should play tonight.

Laker fans will you help settle a dispute between two of my good friends from another thread. If given the chance for the same salary would you select Carlos Boozer or LaMarcus Aldridge? We are talking about today, right now you add one of them to your team.

Thanks, I hate to see people I care about fighting.

I have zero desire to see Carlos Boozer with the Lakers. He is lazy and erratic on defense and I hate the look of his fugly jump shot.

I would take Aldridge over Boozer.

I'd rather have Carlos Mencia or Sabrina Aldridge. Heaven knows either one would be tougher than those two.

                      heh. Or David Aldridge.

I simply went with the hypo and facts provided. The Lakers don't need either player, but I would definitely go with L.A. today over Boozer today.

                        I understand.

I would probably take Aldridge too, but mostly because I have to watch Boozer's tired act more often. They are essentially the same player. My comment about Mencia and Sabrina was to point out that HFN wasn't giving Laker fans much choice.

Yes, depending on which side of the coin is facing up.

weird. I see Aldridge as younger and much more gifted offensively than Boozer. They are about a wash defensively imho.

Aldridge is younger, but Boozer is better offensively - points and FG% have been higher - and he has been a much better rebounder. But yeah, they are both incredibly soft and brutal defensively, hence the coin flip.
