POW already hitting the weights in an effort to bulk up. While he will never look like Karl Malone, it will be nice to see him put on an extra 10-15 lbs.
Here is a picture from this week. You can tell that he has already put on some more heft in his torso.
He is training right now with the Spanish national team but will return to the US sometime in early September.
I wonder if Lamar will begin workouts soon?

One of the Lakers' key obstacles in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets, just lost a decent reserve off the bench. Linus is heading to Greece.
Assuming that JR Smith is still in prison for murdering someone, this could be the difference between another deep playoff run and an early exit next year for Denver.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Nice to see Dr. Buss and Mitch reference the Laker family. Kurt is old-school Showtime. A real Laker.
Hotel Figueroa used to sell its facade for ads....they were almost always Laker related, as the Hotel is right by Staples. There have been some really cool ones over the past decade. This one, with The Captain, Clark Kent, and Big Game James was one of my favorites. Even if you hated the Showtime Lakers, this mural dedicated to prescriptive eyewear and NBA championships definitely brings back memories:

Pau has surgery on his left index finger. Once again raising the issue....should teams allow these players to play during the summer, risking injury and wear and tear? Yao Ming is a good example of the dangers of playing too much.
While this is not expected to affect the Lakers in October, any surgery is bad news.
