I want to see St Louis in a Blues jersey.

That said, Ryan Miller will make us a better team.

Sounds like the only team he will accept a trade to (if rumors are to be believed) is the Rangers. They don't make good trade partners right now with the Lightning, so looks like Marty stays at least until the offseason.

Blues trade Jaroslav Halak, Chris Stewart, and a prospect to Buffalo for Ryan Miller and Steve Ott.

Massive move for the Blues. Goalie was the only area we were noticeably weak in, and we got the best-available guy for a very reasonable cost.

Love the stadium series and winter classic.

Blackhawks dominating. Pens not adjusting to the conditions.

Love the black sweater, wish the hawks never went away from it.

Raanta's mask is amazing. The tribute to Belfour is perfect. Fleury's mask is also great.

Kane hits the post twice. He needs to get a goal to bust out of this slump.

Kane is a great hocker player. I'm sure he'll break out of his slump soon.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Really? I thought Halak was having a good season. Didn't he have like 24 wins already with a GAA under 2.5? Thats pretty good.

Not Miller good. The fact that I am more worried after this trade is all I need to know about it. It was a good move.

It does make the Blues better this year. I'm not particularly happy with it. It is a bad move long term. I'm not sure that Miller is more than a rental for St. Louis unless the cap goes up significantly. Either that or they will need to chip away at their depth to keep him. Draft picks are very valuable and this is going to hurt their depth on the team.

Hossa out 2-3 with an upper body injury. This will not help with the battle the Blackhawks are in with the Blues.

Halak is a FA as well.

Blues still have tremendous organizational depth, although not to the same level of 2-3 years ago. The picks given up will hurt us, especially since we traded out 1st-round pick in 2014 for Bouwmeester last year. But Cup windows don't last forever.

It's been great to see them respond to 2-0 deficits the last two games. Hopefully the defense tightens up.

Martin St Louis traded to the Rangers for Ryan Callahan, a 1st-roud pick, and a 2nd-round pick.

Helluva deal for a 36-year-old. This, combined with the Sens waiving Cory Conacher (whom the Bolts traded for Ben Bishop), shows how great a GM Yzerman is.

Yzerman is a good GM. He is no Stan Bowman, but he is still pretty good.

Halak would be cheaper than Miller. The plain fact though is with what the Blues have in front of their goaltender, they don't even need more than an adequate goaltender to win the cup. They are 2nd only to the Blackhawks in talent.
