Why do you continue to make absurd comments like this one that is wholly unknowable by you and wildly hyperbolic. It really deflates the value of anything otherwise worthwhile in posts.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostIt was the only time in Majerus career where the other team scouted better than him.

Dude played on some great teams with other NBA players (Van Horn, Doleac, Mottola, Johnson). Why do you always bring this up like it was all Andre?Originally posted by mpfunk View PostFreshman year: Sweet 16
Sophomore year: Elite 8
Junior year: Championship game. This also included a dominant performance in the elite 8 against the defending national champion
Senior year: Loss in the 2nd round. Dre got injured and Utah ran into a buzz saw in the 2nd round. Miami (Ohio) had a coach that decided he wanted to emulate the Ute program and had his team watching tape of Utah for years. It was the only time in Majerus career where the other team scouted better than him."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

lol @ all the utes who played their careers in the Huntsman center, including Andre Miller, they have to concede the greatest shot in the history of the building to a BYU player.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

He was the best player at least 3 of his 4 years at Utah. He was hitting big shots in the NCAA tournament as a freshman. I bring it up because Miller was the player that moved those teams from good to great.Originally posted by Surfah View PostDude played on some great teams with other NBA players (Van Horn, Doleac, Mottola, Johnson). It was a return to an old meme re: Andre Miller.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostI'm not sure why that would bother me. Interesting you bring this up. Derek Fisher hasn't been as productive as Miller but he's had a very long career. Fish is one of the reasons why I can't understand why Miller couldn't stick with a team beyond 3 years. Derek Fisher is spoken of as a great leader but he isn't as regarded as Miller for his basketball skills and IQ. Yet he played 13 years (over two stints) with the Lakers.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostI like Andre Miller. I would have loved him to be a cog on the Lakers when he was younger because he knows how to fit into whatever system he plays in and he makes people better."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

It is just a shame that Utah's biggest moments occurred outside the Huntsman Center in the NCAA tournament. If you guys want to have the best shot in the Huntsman Center be a meaningless half-court shot against a shitty team, so be it.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Postlol @ all the utes who played their careers in the Huntsman center, including Andre Miller, they have to concede the greatest shot in the history of the building to a BYU player. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Nobody claimed it was our greatest moment. Just the greatest shot in the history of the Dumpsman. Try to keep up!Originally posted by mpfunk View PostIt is just a shame that Utah's biggest moments occurred outside the Huntsman Center in the NCAA tournament. The difference is that Miller as a borderline All Star had some decent trade value during the prime of his career.Originally posted by Surfah View PostInteresting you bring this up. I'm not even entirely convinced it is the greatest shot, but I'll let you guys have your meaningless half-court shot against a shitty team. I'm sure that will ease the sting of Fredette never doing anything big in the NCAA tournament and his failing NBA career.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostNobody claimed it was our greatest moment. Miller's been a back up PG most of his career, right?Originally posted by mpfunk View PostThe difference is that Miller as a borderline All Star had some decent trade value during the prime of his career.
(edit) looks like he's started most of the time, but I just think of him as a back up type player.Last edited by smokymountainrain; 03-10-2014, 01:03 PM.I'm like LeBron James.
