Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I was talking baseball with my daughter this morning while I drove her to school. The Cubs came up in our conversation and I mentioned the last time they won the WS. She was dumbfounded and exclaimed "that's only 5 years after flight was invented!"

Well... Houston is off to a horrible start which means some of their guys might be on on the trading block. If so the cubs should do everything in their power to pick up Carlos Lee. El Cabalho hits the cover off the ball in wrigley.

Just a thought I had today.

Silva has sure started out hot. Can't imagine it will last as we was just terrible in Seattle.

Can Silva hit? I saw he had a double off the warning track today. Between Greg Maddux and Carlos Zambrano, where does Silva fall?

Z headed to the pen. $19mm a year to pitch relief. Awesome!

My first reaction is WTF? But then I remembered that we basically have no pen, so maybe it will be good. If the starter can get through 5 innings and Z can get through a few, maybe we can actually get a game into Marmol's hands.

Last Thursday, I drove 7 hours round trip while in the Philly area on business to watch the Cubs lose to the Mets. Since then, they haven't lost. So I feel I deserve some sort of credit for this.

The last two times the Cubs hit .500, they went on to lose 3+ straight.

So it's a good time to play the Pirates.

That Silva for Bradley trade is looking better all the time.

Bradley is now "emotionally unfit" to play. Yikes.
