To the first question, of course not. In first place, Rose didn't play that many games. In the second, there were only 2 extra games crammed in per month.

Cheap ploy to get DH back involved in this thread.

15% more games per month, many more back to backs and the days allowed for one's body to recover were reduced.

I don't know if knees are more likely to buckle when the joints, ligaments, muscles are fatigued.

Expanding the NFL schedule to 18 games doesn't sound like a lot to people, but when these sports leagues have already stretched out their players with the existing number of games, a seemingly small amount could push some players' bodies to the breaking point.

But again, knees buckle all the time and it happens throughout the season, though I would like to see if it tends to happen more often late in games or later in seasons. I can't remember the last time I saw two NBA players tear their ACL on the same day, it seems highly unusual.

Also, Rose may not have played that many games this year because the more grueling schedule might have been more than his body could handle. The guy pushes his body like Wade pushes his.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

He missed almost half the games. You can't blame the schedule for that.
Besides, the numbers show that there were fewer games missed to injury this year than in an average year.
It is quite the coincidence that 2 guys had the same injury in the same day.

Memphis is looking good. They're going to beat San Antonio again. Will the winner of OKC and LA beat them?
