  • Goodbye heat. This team shoots the ball as poorly as the jazz.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

        • You would think that the Heat should be the prohibitive favorites to win this entire thing. But right now if I had to rank the current playoff teams based on how they are performing this round, I think I would have the Heat in the bottom three, definitely behind OKC, SAS, BOS, and IND. LAL would be dead last.

Is Wade hurt and playing through injury?

Game 4 is going to be really telling. I think LBJ will be pressing big time. If the heat dont win in a lockout shortened season with Chicago out because of injuries, who gets traded?

When the playoffs began, I honestly thought MIA was going to win it all. Now I don't think they have much chance to beat SAS or OKC, regardless of what they do against IND.

          • This spurs team plays beautiful hoop. Great snr basketball with perfect use of floor spacers (which they have seemingly employed for years regardless of the name on the back of the jersey). Good floor spacing and always using extra passes. Defense always crisp and timely in rotations. Other than the flopping and timmys perma "who me?" face they are a joy to watch. I hope they win it all.

            • SAS with two asterisk titles. That should be good for one real title.

              • Btw, I wish sas and okc could play for it all. I feel like the spurs discipline would win out, but the veteran savvy vs. raw athleticism of youth would be fun to watch.

                  • How much is Popovich making? Why don't the Lakers just throw a 50% raise at him? NBA owners throw ridiculous money at guys like Joe Johnson, but there's no bidding war for someone like Greg Popovich? There are very few coaches out there that seem to demonstrate that they make a real difference, you'd figure they'd get paid for it.

                    • I haven't seen that video in a while. Yikes. LBJ claiming that the Heat practices will be so tough that the actual games will be easy.

                      Indiana practices must be lethal.

Coaches are a lot more loyal to an organization that what a lot of players would be. I would think Popovich loves the situation he's in as well.

They should have just given Jax his $10MM per year. LAL gets swept by Utah then gets swept by SAS. They hire JAX. 3 championships. Then two more. All told, he leads LAL to 5 rings and 7 total trips to the Finals in 11 seasons. Wtf? He averaged a ring every other season and a trip to the finals almost every year! Pay him what he wants.

Jeanie was on the radio just the other day saying Jax is coming back to coach and the thought is that it will either be at LAL or NYK. Good lord, please let it be true. I can't see mike brown leave fast enough.

                          • I'm really enjoying this Heat-Pacers series. I'm still not convinced the Heat are done, but I'm convinced that the Heat aren't getting past the Spurs or OKC. We can delay Bron Bron getting a title another year.

The Heat would still be favorites to win if Bosh hadn't got injured. But he did. And now nobody thinks they have a shot. They still may make the finals though.
