The NBA is also suing Jimmer Fredette.

The NBA's class-action claim listed the former BYU star — and to-be Sacramento Kings rookie — as a defendant along with National Basketball Players Association representatives and executive committee members.

They are really close to reaching an agreement here. I can feel it.

Ronnie Price thought as of Tuesday that they would pull together and wouldn't miss any games.

While he is the Jazz player rep and would know better than anybody, save maybe 50 people, I think he is being way too optimistic.

Interesting because Josh Childress the Phoenix player rep told Jim Rome there is a good chance we don't have a season and that he does not even think serious talks will start until September or October.

One player went to Stanford, the other went to UVSC (where I also went!). Probably their abilities to analyze the situation are at different levels.

Most of that is because the sides aren't talking. Plenty of people care but there is nothing to report with the exception of which player signed with which European team this week.

I also think it was because of the proximity to the start of the NFL season. Right now we're still a couple months from training camp. As we get closer to that, I'm guessing the talk will pick up.

I hope no one cares and this thing goes on for a couple years. Baseball also needs a good 2 year lockout.
