  • The world baseball classic

So hear I am in Toronto as today I went to the world baseball classic. $42 dollar seast that cost me $30 because of the canadian dollar. Its nice to go to a baseball game in an electric venue. 42k strong for the game today and it was pretty fun. Not to mention 6-5 for the USA over our maple brothers to the north.

Sky dome is a pretty cool place. Toronto remains in the top 3 cities in North America in my opinion (Chicago and LA) are the other two.

I am envious that you were there.

MRD, I'd love to hear any more detail if you wouldn't mind sharing.

We Angelinos are lucky, as the Championship game will be held at the Ravine. I am definitely going to attend to cheer on the USA. I am excited.

Here is hoping that the US redeems itself from the last time. What a disgrace.

PS What were scalpers asking for tickets? I am surprised you had to pay $30. Maybe you had really nice seats? In this economy, I would guess that scalpers are losing their shirts.

I am very jealous MRD. I am sure it was a very fun game to attend.

I am surprised at how close the game US/Canada was. I am also surprised at the Dominican team not even showing up today. Very pathetic showing by the Dominicans. They have a very deadly line up and they can only produce 2 runs against a bunch of no name pitchers. They faced a couple of pitchers that haven't even played in the minors.

I'm honestly really enjoying this iteration of the WBC. The first one I didn't really pay attention to. This year, I've been watching and it's kinda fun.

I will say this about the WBC, there are a lot of big names that I wish were playing in the series.

That is an inexplicable loss for the Dominicans. Perhaps they thought this was more like a rec league softball game and had beer in the coolers rather than Gatorade.

Of course, it was a great win for the Dutch.

They must have thought it was a beer league softball game. The DR was such a joke today. I was so disappointed.

How in the world is the Netherlands fielding a squad?

Curacao, my friend, Curacao. Oh, and American players who have some Dutch ancestry.

                          They paid the entry fee.

                            Sheesh, tell me about it.

When is the United Arab Emirates v. Cabo Verde game? I want to tune into that one.

That would be a great match up. UAE pitching vs. Cabo hitting. Winner gets Vatican City.
