Perhaps they were concerned about a late hit penalty.

They shouldn't have been. I can understand the concern what with their wallets being affected but he is "in play" on those play calls. As someone pulling for the Niners (albeit mildly) I thought they actually did a pretty good job of going directly for Kap, forcing him to give it up. They didn't always lay him out but seemed to recognize the need to contain Kap to the oustide while forcing Gore inside.

There's no late hit on that. Simms even mentioned it during the game. When he hands the ball off but is still faking like he has it he can be hit and he should have been hit every single time. The problem is you risk the chance of giving up a few big runs on the handoff, but you let someone like Suggs lay the wood to Kap a few times, it will mess up reads and timing.

I agree, the Ravens forced Kap to hand off almost the entire game, except they should have hit him still.

We had a large superbowl party last night. Shortly after the halftime show, the missionaries dropped by. They announced that they were not allowed to watch the Super Bowl, but just wanted to see how we were doing.

Shortly after they came in, the lights went out.

After loitering (and eating) for about 35 minutes, they announced they should be going. The minute they left the house, the lights came back on.

It's a freakin' miracle!! The lord protects his servants from temptations large and small.

That's true and he put himself in the bad position, but the fact is they were acquitted because of self-defense. I loath Ray Lewis and there's little doubt he used PEDs to come back for the playoffs, but I'm not ready to call the guy a murderer.

I also didn't call him a murderer (although in the past I did). I indicated that his actions range from covering for a murderer or being a murderer. Obviously that is a pretty big range, but still it doesn't represent the actions of a high character individual.

Yes his buddies got off on self-defense, but I wonder if they get off without the help of Lewis in covering for them and obstructing justice.

Also, Lewis' recent statements about the double murder don't really help his cause.

In preparation for the Super Bowl this year I recorded all the NFL Films 30 minute recaps of Super Bowl games since my oldest was born, which were airing on NFL Network last Saturday.

During the week Jr. and I watched the first one without Captain. This morning while explaining the Raiders/Buccaneers SB to Cap, Jr said "You wouldn't believe it their coach was that announcer guy, can you believe he used to coach!" I think I am officially old.
