When thrown correctly, you are correct. But the actual throw was far too flat, which is why it landed were it did. I haven't watched enough replays to make a comment on whether I think it was uncatchable, but the throw was poor for the pattern that was run. Way too flat.

You obviously haven't watched Crabtree very much this year. He's not Terrel Owens. And Kaepernick hasn't learned how to put touch on the ball.

He's not Jerry Rice, either. This was clearly his best year, and he improved significantly once Kaepernick took over, but he still drops his fair share of passes. He's not the glue hands he seemed to be at Texas Tech.

That 3rd Quarter pass was right on the money. Touch or not (and a pass that length isn't a touch pass anyway), he should have caught it. Lucky for him, they scored that drive anyway, IIRC.

Hochuli is the other side of the coin. He would have ruined the game with all the calls and all the explanations.

You know who I like? That other black ref with the mustache, Mike Carey. That guy always does a good job. Have him ref every Super Bowl.

When cheering for a team with a player that at best knows which of his friends murdered someone and covered it up and at worst murdered someone, you do need some excuses.

5 drops in 127 targets. He's better than Calvin Johnson, Victor Cruz, Demarious Thomas, AJ Green, Wes Welker, Julio Jones, Marques Colston,Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, Dez Bryant and Brandon Marshall in this regard. Of the big production receivers, Roddy White, Larry Fitzgerald, Miles Austin, Vincent Jackson and Andre Johnson were better. So he was better than two thirds of the best receivers in the league and not as good as one third of them.

But he did mess up in your sample size of one.

To be fair, his buddies were aquitted because of self-defense. The guys that got killed were pretty unsavory characters. It's also the reason why they won't be holding another Super Bowl in Atlanta until they build a new stadium.

I'm doubtful Ray runs with a bunch of good guys.

I can't cheer for him because of that.

That's true and he put himself in the bad position, but the fact is they were acquitted because of self-defense. I loath Ray Lewis and there's little doubt he used PEDs to come back for the playoffs, but I'm not ready to call the guy a murderer.

Oh, I'm not calling him that. Nobody knows what he did or didn't do.

I think he suppressed evidence and convinced everyone to change their stories, and used PEDs as well like you said. I've never heard of anyone coming back from a triceps injury like that.

I hate how he plays the God card and acts holy and righteous. It's disingenuous and fake to me.

                        • The 9ers play calling on the last series bewildered me. I concur that it should have been frank gore three times in a row after the first down.
                          PLesa excuse the tpyos.

And they were going to run the read option on the delay of game play (or so it appeared). IMO it would have worked based upon where the pressure appeared to come from.

Speaking of the read option. Why weren't the Ravens putting Kap in the grass every time they ran it and he handed off? Suggs got a little lick on him once IIRC, but they should have hit him every time. They kept pulling up. It was driving me nuts.

Perhaps they were concerned about a late hit penalty.
