I'm not following Jimmer as closely as you are, but I thought he was actually getting minutes as of late, vs. lots of dnps earlier in the year.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Not to worry, this guy isn't following Jimmer very well. Jimmer went from pretty much straight DNP's to getting 10-22 minutes a game. He's playing well too including on the defensive end.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostI'm not following Jimmer as closely as you are, but I thought he was actually getting minutes as of late, vs. lots of dnps earlier in the year.

With the Rivers trade and the injury to Holiday it seems like Jimmer's minutes should be up significantly. Considering that he and some guy on a ten day contract are the only two point guards on the team, his minutes are pretty unimpressive. I check Jimmer's stats pretty frequently and considering the Pelicans current situation it is surprising how little he is playing.Originally posted by Shaka View PostNot to worry, this guy isn't following Jimmer very well. He had a nice three game stretch where he played 20+ minutes a night, but that was with Salmons out for personal reasons and with Gordon still injured.
Once Eric Gordon came back from injury Jimmer's minutes diminished again.
The Austin Rivers trade seemed like a chance for Jimmer to increase his role, but if you look at the minutes the guy who came to NO in that trade as an afterthought, Quincy Pondexter, has been playing 20+ a night. Pondexter was playing fewer minutes than Jimmer wherever he came from, but Monty is playing him more minutes than Jimmer since his arrival.
When Holiday comes back I'd expect to see Jimmer return to the DNP because as it now stands Evans and Holiday are ahead of him at PG and Gordon and Pondexter are covering all the minutes at SG. It isn't much different than the situation earlier in the season.
Tonight a guy on a ten day contract got almost as many many minutes as Jimmer.Last edited by TexTechCoug; 01-19-2015, 08:12 PM.

Jimmer got good minutes in the Toronto game on Sunday. It was surprising to see him benched for the second half against the Knicks yesterday after he put up good numbers in the first half. A bad sign for sure but I wouldn't read too much into a single half of basketball. We'll see what happens tomorrow. (Jimmer's minutes last night were especially disappointing when you consider what he did at MSG in a very similar game against the Knicks a year ago. I was hoping he'd get the chance to do it again in the 3rd qtr.)Originally posted by TexTechCoug View PostWith the Rivers trade and the injury to Holiday it seems like Jimmer's minutes should be up significantly. Wolters on a ten day contract, a guy who was not on a roster and played at S. Dakota St. just supplanted Jimmer in Monty's rotation.Last edited by TexTechCoug; 01-21-2015, 06:34 PM.

yeah, basically Jimmer's whole career is summed up with that word.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostWeirdDio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

Dumb question, but I wonder how close Jimmer is to qualifying for the NBA's pension plan. Seems like he has almost stuck around long enough to qualify. For whatever reason, that's a milestone I'd really like to see him hit, even if his minutes continue to be sparse.Nothing lasts, but nothing is lost.

he's eligible, but I don't think he wouldn't get much. They do some rate based on how many months he's played to determine the annual pension.Originally posted by Harry Tic View PostDumb question, but I wonder how close Jimmer is to qualifying for the NBA's pension plan. In a sad turn of events, Jimmer gets two consecutive DNP-CD and Wolters gets a second ten day contract.
I could understand it if Wolters was filling up the stat sheet, but I think he has more turnovers than assists. Jimmer's defense must be really, really bad.

Jimmer in double digits in the win against Atlanta - breaking their 19-game winning streak."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"
