Jimmer won the POY awards when BYU, Ohio State, and Duke all exited the tournament on the same weekend. Everyone knows that BYU's team was less talented 2-10 than Ohio State and Duke so if BYU was able to go as far, you couldn't count the tournament against Jimmer. Walker lost these awards and shouldn't have been in serious consideration because he took off January and February. You can't play like the POY in December and March and think that is sufficient to win the award.

I am going to disagree a bit, and say that March/April is all that really matters. Kemba will win MOP of the tournament should UCONN win tonight. I think he will take his national title over any awards Jimmer has won. I am sure Jimmer feels the same way.
