Nice little highlight video from Saturday. A few thoughts/questions: 1) I'm glad Thad Matta doesn't have Jim Tressel's taste in clothing, or we migh lose Brandon to OSU. 2) What non-BYU attire will TJ show up with for Thursdays game? 3) What is with the all the money-sign hand gestures? I've never noticed as much before as i did against the Zags.

Too bad the Zags didn't heed the cheerleaders' constant plea for defense.

Last week she had a discussion with a 2nd grader who is a huge Utah fan. He was asserting that Jimmer is not a good athlete and isn't a very good basketball player.
He certainly wouldn't want Jimmer on the Ute squad - assuming Jimmer could even make the team he would probably just ride the bench.
Um...OK.
Reminded me quite a bit of how rabid of an opinion kids that age can have about things like politics - when they have no idea what they are talking about.
She just smiled and said - "you might not like him or the team he plays for, but if you can't admit that Jimmer Fredette is a pretty good basketball player, we can't even have this conversation..."

And so we give thanks...
Our Jimmer which art in Provo,
Hallowed be thy Game,
Thy Naismith come, thy shot go down
in N'Orleans, as it did in Denver.
Give us this day your double cross-over
And forgive us our doubts, as we forgive your doubters.
And lead us not into elimination,
but deliver us from Florida.
For thine is the tourney, and the power, and the glory,
Forever.
Classic. Tell Eric he has a gift.
P.S. Tell him to prepare another for Butler!

Who jumps that high on a jumpshot? Jimmer, that's who.
And Emery too, every time, which I think is a problem as it makes his shot depend too much on how tired he is. Jimmer is able to alter his lift according to need.
The shot in the picture is the one where he came off a screen and elevated immediately, twisting in the air as he let it go. CBS got a slo-mo shot of it that is a thing of beauty.

That is an awesome picture.

Mind the elevation. This isn't just some gritty kid who shoots well. Those are big league hops.
Love it. Someone said they saw video of this shot from that angle (and that it looked glorious, too). Anyone know where such a video can be viewed?
