To use your "logic"(correctly this time) every GM in America would choose Gore over Mcgahee. Broncos rushing numbers are incredibly skewed by the Tebow offense.

I suppose that would be a valid point if AFA, Navy, and/or Nevada had any RBs in the top 10, 20, or even top 30 in rushing, and if AFA, Navy, and/or Nevada played against NFL-caliber defenses.

And their QB threw for 3000 yards with a 150 QB rating. So stop comparing apples to oranges.

Gore and McGahee both played on NFL teams, went against NFL defenses, and had very similar rushing numbers, with McGAhee's being slightly better. I'm not saying McGahee is better than Gore, but I am saying the gap between them isn't nearly as large as you are making it out to be.

Now, by all means, go dip into Div 1AA stats and find some outliers to prove me wrong!

Yet, Gore will be 29 and with only 137 fewer career carries than McGahee. Also, Gore's productivity has declined since his apex two years ago, when he averaged 4.9 ypc. The last two years he has averaged 4.2 and 4.3 ypc. Looks like they are essentially the same RB at this point.

And if were judging only numbers with no context what makes you so sure about Eric Decker and his 550 yards as an older player than Crabtree being better than his 900 yards receiving.

Decker had over 600 yards receiving and averaged nearly 2 yards per reception more than Crabtree. Also, Decker had Tim Tebow throwing to him, which is a significant step down from Alex Smith, as hard as that may be to believe. Also, Decker scored more TDs.

Another more qualitative way to judge Broncos vs Niners is what the NFL fan with no dog in the race would be more scared of a Manning-led 49ers or a Manning-led Broncos. 49ers with that D and their new weapons no doubt, Saints and Packers fans were mortified at the thought of Manning on the Niners. Peyton and the Broncos aren't even the favorites in their own conference, not even close compared to the Pats.

ROFL, that article clearly decides it. No one could have written an article like that about the 49ers the second he signed there. Broncos can be good with Manning, but I think even most Broncos fans would agree that the Niners with Manning were a much scarier team than the Broncos are now with Manning.
