If they don't get a TE and Mike Wallace the Broncos are an embarrassing organization for Peyton to be around.
You might be surprised how much better Denver's receivers look next year. One thing is certain - they'll have fewer passes thrown into the dirt five yards in front of them.

I see you are equally skillful in professional and college football analysis.

Every time I see a star, have a birthday, find a four leaf clover, or rescue a genie I'm going to wish for Riley Nelson to be drafted by the Broncos next year. I'm curious if a head exploding from the inside is what it looks like when shot from the outside on TV or movies.

So awesome. Lose our first-rounder to sign Wallace as a RFA; use our 2nd-round pick on a RB; and we'll be golden.

I can't wait for Peyton to become one of the many who should have walked away from the game when he still had his dignity. It is a shame that he is going to the Broncos. I would have loved to see him succeed in AZ.

Congrats to the Broncos. The Broncos actually do have a potential stud receiver in Thomas. They also have the cap space to land Mike Wallace. Their first round draft pick is lower than it normally should be for a .500 team, so it may be worth it to give it up for Wallace.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Yeah I didn't want him to come to the Redskins. He may have a renaissance but I don't want my team to take that risk.

Yeah you'd have to be stupid to want Crabtree, Vernon Davis, Manningham, Moss, Delanie Walker, Frank Gore over D. Thomas(iffy hands, iffy routes, athletic), Eric Decker(definition of mediocre or slightly below), willis fricking mcgahee, and a non-entity at TE.

And 49ers D has zero holes, Denver has real question marks especially at DL and in the secondary.

This was a control/money decision and not a football one, which makes it incredibly disappointing as a guy who has followed Peyton his whole career.

Agreed. I knew you'd come around.

FYI, if you gave every single GM in the NFL a free shot at picking either Crabtree or Decker I'd guess about 75% of them would pick Decker. And that's conservative.

P.S. I like how you get to count the 49ers free agent signings, but discount the fact that there are several FAs who will be interested in playing with Manning in Denver.

49ers current weapons with their signing far out strip what the Broncos have right now. And Peyton did himself no favors by waiting to sign until all the good FAs have signed elsewhere so he couldn't help influence many FAs except washed up Dallas Clark who shouldn't be paid more than the vet min but will be overpaid by the Broncos.

Willis Fricken McGahee averaged 4.8 ypc to Gore's 4.3. He rushed for 12 yards fewer than Gore on 33 fewer carries.
