I wouldn't get too excited yet, CC. The Heat have a terrible record against quality teams in the regular season and that will certainly hamper them in the playoffs where the format is very similar to the, uh, er, regular season.

But honestly, I would hate to see the Heat win this thing. This type of collusion by players really rubs me the wrong way and it would suck if it paid off for them in the end.

No, I hear you. I'm not really a Heat fan, just a fan of not putting too much stock into small sample sizes. And you look at what Lebron did on a team like Cleveland that put almost nothing around him, and you have to believe that with such an upgrade in supporting cast that things will eventually go well for that team.

Actually the biggest problem with LeBron's comment is that the Heat's big three is an absolute myth. They are the big two, the softest and most overrated forward this side of Boozer and a bunch of no talent bums. Bosh is embarrassingly bad. He goes for 19 and 12 in one game and the media is falling all over themselves about how good he was. If he is part of a big three, that's a subpar game for him. But the fact is, that was an outstanding game for a POS, soft PF.

If the Heat had Ibaka, nobody would be talking about a big three, but the Heat would have the best record in the league and be a lock for the title.

Horrible idea but one that is going to be included because the players won't object since the player still has to be paid his full amount but then can go play for a new team.
