It's possible Kap set her up so his friends could take advantage of her, but I'm skeptical. NFL stars don't lack for sexual volunteers, so why this?

From what I heard/read, she was the one who mixed the drinks though, right? This is where there is a disconnect in the story for me. How did she end up at the hospital. That's what I want to know.

Yeah but they made her hit that chronic.

Agreed. It is very weird. But she did end up in the hospital.

          • Well, there is this...

Miami Police confirmed Thursday that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, wide receiver Quinton Patton and Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette are linked to a police investigation involving a woman who woke up in a hospital after spending time with the players, Bay Area News Group’s Natalie Neysa Alund and Cam Inman wrote. What the police did not confirm was a report by TMZ Sports that Kaepernick was being investigated for a possible sexual assault. Miami Police spokesman Rene Pimental debunked that Thursday, saying the celebrity news site “took the report out of context.” “There’s no evidence of a crime or a sexual assault,” Pimental said, according to Alund and Inman. “This report is simply an incident report taken at the woman’s request.” A four-place police report says the incident involved a woman with whom Kaepernick reportedly had a past sexual relations, and took place April 1 at Lockette’s Miami apartment. No arrests have been made, and no charges have been filed.

            • I'm not sure if this is the right place to talk about Aldon Smith's bizarre bomb threat, because I doubt he's a 49er much longer.

This is the right place. I'm sure Sizzle and/or CMBF will be along shortly to explain why it's not really a big deal and give reasons why SF should keep him around.

On the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing too. Genius.

Right, because I'm all about justifying poor behavior by athletes.

Aldon Smith is an idiot. A lot like Kaep, why put yourself anywhere remotely near where you could get into trouble when you've got such a large contract looming. I was not happy that they let him play last year after his arrest. Honestly, I hope he gets suspended to start the year for at a minimum 4 games. The most discouraging thing is he supposedly went into rehab after his incident last year, and had his life in order. The report I read stated that he was also drunk, which would mean falling back into things that got him into trouble before. Not looking like he learned his lesson, which is too bad, because defensively, SF is a better team with him playing. But if you can't trust a guy off the field, it's hard to trust him on it.

@Tre9er: [Smith] asked the TSA agent, “Are you going to search me further?”
TSA: “That’s not necessary,” Smith responded: “Why not? I have a bomb.”

                      What an idiot.

Now it looks like Lockette called the police in the girl because she was naked on the bed and refusing to leave.

                              Ronnie Brewer

Brewer said the woman got naked and flopped on his bed. He built a divider with blankets and pillows, telling her she could sleep on the bed or the floor if she wanted to stay.

“Brewer stated he decided not to have sexual intercourse with [her] because she was too drunk and acting strangely,” according to the memo.

The players agreed among them that no one would have sex with her, according to the memo, in part because of her saying she had been raped in the past.
