2021 US Open - You Pick "Em - Golf Talk

At the range Saturday - I hit a couple with my driver shafted 7 wood. The ball goes straight up and comes down at 200 with a parachute. It feels really good to have a 100% confidence - 200 yard club in your bag. You're right though - I might have to put driver shafts in all my irons and see how that works for me.

I just mean that Bryson seems to be the tinkerer with his game. I read that he is the only pro playing with irons all the same shaft length. His putting stance is certainly unique. And he took a unique approach to adding length to his game and strategy.

He isn’t the most likable guy, but I appreciate his approach to the game.

I can’t stand Brooks. He seems like the ultimate frat boy asshole. Bryson’s no choir boy, and antagonizes a bit. But abrooks seems like the more egregious instigator.

I agree here. Brooks is a meat head d-bag that doesn't like getting beat by a nerd.

Whether a player would be "fun to play with" seems kinda like judging a presidential candidate on whether you'd like to have a beer with him.

If you ask most people, you'll have about as much impact on who you root for in golf and who your vote for as commander in chief. Which is to say, none. So it is kinda like that.

If you ask most people they root against sports figures and teams they dislike. The reasons for dislike are wide ranging. Nothing is worse than slow play in golf. Also…. FIRE ANTS!!

Not even a big Brooks fan but I get it.

BTW it would it would not shock me to learn the rivalry is a bit orchestrated as it helps to raise both of their profiles on social, which their sponsors absolutely love.
