For the record, I think that LeBron is going to head to NJ with his boy JayZ and will be infinitely worse off than he was before. I think he has handled this whole thing in a very juvenile way and is getting bad advice.
The Official, where is LeBron going??

I think he's going to stay in Cleveland. But I agree with the rest of your post. In fact some of the comments and rumblings about these execs meeting with James' camp have been pretty bad. They just go along with it and nod for the chance at Bron.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostFor the record, I think that LeBron is going to head to NJ with his boy JayZ and will be infinitely worse off than he was before. I still think he stays in Cleveland. He makes more money and he is able to be a player/GM in Cleveland.
FYI: LeBron is NOT form Cleveland. He is from Akron. People always want to say he is from Cleveland but that is not true at all.. He really has no allegiance to Cleveland other then it is roughly 30 to 45 minutes from his hometown..

That is a lame response imo. Look, you can have "some" form of allegiance to another city, but people keep throwing out this "Hometown" but that is not the case. He really has no allegiance to them as his "hometown".. That is not going to be the factor in deciding where he goes.. Get it..

OK, how about "home state"? How about town that is right next to all his family and friends?Originally posted by dabrockster View PostThat is a lame response imo. That is Dayton as evidenced hereOriginally posted by dabrockster View PostYou know it is different. People from Akron do not claim to be from Cleveland.. Nor do they feel connected to the city.. I am the only one who voted for New York. I just want this to be on record before his ESPN special tomorrow where he announces he's signing with the New York Knicks. If we disagree on something, it's because you're wrong.

For the record, I started hating Lebron his first year. It was unnerving listening to a rookie speak in the first person so much when asked questions about the team. I marveled at his talent but couldn't shake the lack of humility, false or otherwise. He may be the franchise but for Funk's sake (see what I did there, Funk, I "Sainted" you) please at least act a bit more magnanimous."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault
