Kobe has a knack for forcing his way in to score.

And I agree the Lakers suck, but not as bad as the celtics have in the last two minutes.

    • I just want to say something, you don't have to agree with me but this Kobe guy is a decent ball player.

        • I really dislike Paul Pierce, and I still say the turning point in the series was in game 2 when the Celtics had won and Pierce put a chicken crap horse collar on Pau and no Laker did anything. Soft.

          • Am I the only one (besides the refs) who thinks that ball hit rim? The announcers are watching it in slo-mo and saying it looks like no. I think they're high.

              wouldn't the net have moved?

              • I think the ball hit the rim. What pisses me off though is none of those officials did, yet they still overturn the call. Besides Perkins shoved LO out from underneath on that play. It was a big call.

The Lakers had opportunities as bad as they played. The Celtics got a complete game. Contributions from everyone on offense and solid defense. Yet the Lakers were right there. Had they fucking hit FTs or collected one defensive rebound there at the end they could have stolen that game. Artest missing both FTs was big. I thought that should have been a jump ball when Kobe crashed in for the rebound. Rondo made that layup and that was the ball game. 4 point swing right there when the Lakers should have been down a possession. It's disappointing that Kobe was the only one who came to play. He was making ridiculous shots tonight over some tight defense. He goes off and his team gives up bucket after bucket on the other end. No excuse for the defense there. Pathetic.

It sucks that Bynum is hurting. He's been big when he's been able to play. I think this series would be over right now had he been 100%.

Back to LA. I think the Lakers take game 6 with the short turnaround. Pau has to be better and I think Artest hits a couple shots. But I think the Celtics will give them everything they have because they don't want to play another. Game 7 should be exciting.

I agree (except for the part about it sucking). I still think the Lakers take it in 7 unfortunately, but Bynum being gimpy gives the Celts a chance.

The non-Kobes are world-beaters against Utah. Credit to Boston's defense.

I don't know that Ainge gets the credit he deserves for putting this team together. The KG trade was Memphis-giving-Gasol-to-LA-esque back in 2008, but there's been a huge drop in KG since that season. Draft day trades for Rondo, Perkins, and Big Baby have really paid off.

                    • Kobe was awesome in the 3rd. That was insane.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I think it hit the rim. The flight of the ball changes angles quite clearly on one of the replays.

Unreal. It felt like watching Dominique go crazy all over again.

Poster Board material right there... But I can't say he wasn't telling the truth.. Boston did suck, but they seemed to have put it altogether..

LA wins Game 6 for a big show down in Game 7. I just hope the refs swallow the whistle for the whole game... If they do I like Boston's chances. LA is good but soft in the middle with a gimpy Bynum.. Pau is not a physical player in the middle..

If LA wins game 6, this series is over. Boston's shot is tomorrow night.

                              • There was one point in the 3rd quarter where Gasol tried his darnedest to get mean. He was tired of being pushed around and bullied by those meanies in green so he put an elbow into Garnett, and then a forearm shove...and nothing. He tried his billy goat best to not look like a total pansy and unfortunately for him the opposite happened. And then he got punked by Tony Allen.

On two days rest I would have made LA the clear favorite at home in Game 6 and a slight favorite in 7. But with the short turnaround likely meaning Bynum will again be ineffective it should be a good game. Ray Ray is due, but the C's won't be picking up the win unless Rondo and Pierce can show up the same game.
