Doug Collins just told someone, whoever happens to be close to him at this very moment, that it is important to try to finish quarters strong. And then he probably repeated it 12 minutes later and acted like it was the first time whoever he was telling had ever heard it.Originally posted by Surfah View PostI don't know. I think I'd take those two idiots over Doug Collins. Thank goodness he'll be coaching next season.

He probably prefaced that with "When I was coaching Michael...."Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostDoug Collins just told someone, whoever happens to be close to him at this very moment, that it is important to try to finish quarters strong. Game 1 had big TV numbers with a 10.4. Best since 2004.

You serious? Hand Down Man Down is the worst TV guy since Stevie Kerr. I hope he becomes a semi-successful GM somewhere soon so he can stop ruining the NBA.Originally posted by Surfah View PostI don't know. I think I'd take those two idiots over Doug Collins. I didn't say I loved him. I just like him more than Doug Collins. Seriously when he's calling games I can't tell if he's slobbering all over the mic or MJ's knob. That's why Mike Brown will be a great replacement. "When I coached Lebron...."Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostYou serious? Hand Down Man Down is the worst TV guy since Stevie Kerr. Reggie is my favorite guy, they always pair him with Marv though who I don't really like.Originally posted by Surfah View PostI didn't say I loved him. I just like him more than Doug Collins. Reggie is a great tv personality. I also like that you cannot see the sun around his belly button through his suits.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostReggie is my favorite guy, they always pair him with Marv though who I don't really like.I'm your huckleberry.

The Lakers are in trouble. Fisher seems to think that the calls he gets against Utah will continue in other series, he was shooting these idiotic attempts then flopping against PHX also. The game in the balance and Rondo roofs Fisher who falls to the ground for some reason, instead of passing to the best player in the world who was wide open.
I am glad that Fisher got the Lakers past the Jazz, it brought a lot of joy to Laker fans on this board. It is looking like he is also going to be the reason this team doesn't win a title.
Someone should have fouled Pierce hard after he made that chicken crap foul on Pau with less than 30 seconds left. The Lakers went from aggressive to super soft in 1 game.Get confident, stupid

I wish I didn't think David Stern was a hoodlum and the whole NBA front office and ownership thoroughly corrupt and could celebrate a gutsy win by the aging Celtics behind enemy lines that turned this playoffs froma probably Lakers in five or six into something potentially interesting. But I can't. Five fouls on Kobe tells the tale of this game. The fix was in, and it was not hard to see coming. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

NBA. One step above Fake wrestling..
Although, as a Laker hater.. I thoroughly enjoyed that game.. Do I think it was fixed?? It is hard not to think that with Kobe in foul trouble (From a Laker lover's perspective). But other times I am disgusted with how much Kobe gets away with as well. So In my mind they were actually making calls against him that should ALWAYS be called but because it is Kobe he gets away with it. Now, do I think his foul trouble cost them the game. Nope.. Putting fisher on Ray Allen was the reason, and Allen going batty from the 3 point line proves that...
Here's hoping the same Boston team that discarded the Cavs so easily after a similar series shows up...
