Very smart observation there, funk. You have no idea how much coordination, logistics, and timing go into one of my "HLS" posts."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
"It's no secret that the great American pastime is no longer baseball. Now it's sanctimony." -- Guy Periwinkle, The Nix.

Remember when Harper hit two home runs in one game against the Braves two weeks ago? I caught the home run ball that he hit in the bottom of the eight. Huge home run, and I caught it clean with one with bare hand --- booming home run, and then boom, I caught it. I kid you not. I had my two boys with me, and it was one of the coolest experiences. They both couldn't believe their eyes. I finally did something that to them was worthwhile. It was like when Atticus Finch shot the rabid dog, and Scout finally saw her dad as somewhat competent at something, and it changed their relationship. My boys have treated me differently ever since. It's been so adorable -- they took the home run ball to church, to school, they sleep with it on their nightstand dresser. The Harper love in this household is off the charts at this point. My second oldest wears his Harper jersey almost every other day (we make him take it off so we can wash it).

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

That is awesome, Levin. Way to go."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

I saw that play on SC. I could tell it was a sweet catch, but I was disappointed they didn't have a better camera angle.Last edited by Donuthole; 05-20-2015, 10:32 PM.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I was kind of glad they didn't get a better camera angle b/c I was the dad who caught the baseball and jumped up and down for like five seconds in excitement while ignoring his two boys around him. I came to my senses after a few seconds, and gave the ball to my youngest son.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI saw that play on SC. Did you consider hanging around the locker room exit post-game to have him autograph the ball? That'd look nice in a Lucite cube.Originally posted by Levin View PostI was kind of glad they didn't get a better camera angle b/c I was the dad who caught the baseball and jumped up and down for like five seconds in excitement while ignoring his two boys around him. I love Harper and Matt Williams:
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Harper didn't deserve to get tossed, but he definitely took the bait from Hudson. Hudson tells him to get back in the box, and Harper gets cute and puts his tippy-toe in the box.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostPrepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
