Now that I have had a day to feel really bad about maybe the most gut wrenching loss I have ever watched, I am really excited about the future of the Nats. The bottom line, for me, is that their lack of experience really hurt them in the post season this year. You can point to Drew Storen and his shaking hands as he gave away four runs in the 9th inning, but Gio walked a bunch of guys uncharacteristically, several guys including Harper were just nowhere to be found in the first four games, and next year we will trot out two ace pitchers instead of just one. This team is young and now it has some experience.
I wouldn't mind them adding another bat in the off seasons, but the future is very bright. This year was a ton of fun and Harper was a big part of it. Can't wait for spring training. Go Nats! You made a fan out of me.Comment
