Doesn't sound like he's out the whole year. That said, I'm fairly ambivalent about the whole thing. Miles hasn't done much to impress me either way during his time in Utah.

The Tribune said it was a torn ligament that will require surgery and that he'll miss the start of the season. No projected return beyond that. That sucks for the Jazz though. Not much on the bench there.

That's what I get for not actually going to the Trib for more information.

And yeah, it does suck as far as bench depth is concerned, but as I've said already, this team will do no better than 50 wins and a second-round exit from the playoffs. Miles doesn't factor into that at all, IMO.

Speculation is that he'll be out 6-8 weeks. I guess that's been the norm for players with similar injuries.

The good news is I would ratherhave Miles-Fess-Korver-Harpring hurt than the Deron-Boozer-Memo shit we dealt with last year.

I hope so but probably not. With the decreasing cap and his inability to be a threat from the three I doubt he gets the raise he is looking for. He deserves in the 5-7 mil per range and he is probably looking for the 7-9 per range. I hope we keep him though.
