You pretty much just described why I haven't watched a Jazz game, other than a few Jimmer minutes a few games ago, in about 3 weeks.

This is a team without direction unless their goal is to be mired in mediocrity. They are a mediocre team with a mediocre group of veterans playing the bulk of the minutes, veterans in their primes who aren't getting any better, and it's frustrating.

    • This has been my problem with the Jazz for five years. The only guys I liked watching were DWill and Memo.

Now I just want to watch the team develop, and they aren't doing any of that. There's a lot of undeveloped and untapped potential sitting right now, however.

      • 39 points we gave up in the 4th?

Still, I'm disappointed that I forgot about the game. Burks got time and I always seem to miss the games Gordon shoots well. Maybe I should miss more games...

Al: 19 to get 20 and only 11 free throws as a team(none by Al)??? That's how you lose a game while shooting 51% from 2 and 55% from 3 (along with horrible defense apparently).

          • The best part of the season so far is that Golden St is 3rd in the west playing w/o Bogut and with Klay Thompson only warming up the past couple of games. The Jazz might be able to nab another Demarre Carrol when they get the Warriors' 25th pick in the draft.

Mo Williams, Marvin Williams and Randy Foye. You acquire maybe one or two of that type of player to either a contending team as a role player coming off the bench or to a young team to play a role and to play with young players. You don't sign three of that type of player to your .500 team play major roles and to take minutes from young players.

KOC effed up by acquiring those three guys and Corbin is simply magnifying KOC's mistake with his ridiculous rotation.

              Sad.

              • Marvin was a good pickup and he does stuff on the court besides scoring. Mo & Randy don't though.

Again, I don't have a problem with any one of those players necessarily. But you don't sign three mediocre players - as much as you like Marvin, he is indeed mediocre (that can't really be argued) and he isn't getting any better - to play major roles on an already mediocre basketball team.

                    Amen brother!

And as far as defensive problems. The largest was Al refusing to play defense on the pick and roll. He wouldn't hedge at all, except when he did it to the wrong side. Kanter really showing some offense these last 2 games, and some sweet blocks last night.

                    • Enes is starting to come on a little. Over his last 5, he's averaging 8 pts and 5 rebs in 14 mins per. That's more in line with what I was hoping to see after his preseason. Too bad he couldn't get a few more minutes last night with Favors out.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

                        • So exciting to tune into the Jazz/Clippers game and see a starting Carroll jacking up 3s.
