Assuming his role increases he should make the team watchable for at least 12 min a night."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

I dunno man. I want the Jazz to be bad, but not this bad. When you are this bad, it's really hard to dig yourself out in the future, I would think. I was hoping for 25 win bad, not 11 win bad.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostFine by me. This has needed to happen for a while.

11? The way they've played so far, that's wishful thinking. Although, I am enjoying this second half. Evans has been fun to watch. If they play this way consistently, they are a 25 win team.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostI dunno man. I want the Jazz to be bad, but not this bad. they'll lose but good effort. Evans shooting 100% on the season."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

I just want them to be bad so they can get the franchise player this team needs. The worse we are, the more chances at drawing out of the lottery we'll have.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostI dunno man. I want the Jazz to be bad, but not this bad. I know it's hard to watch and I get that it's hard to dig yourself out, but this is how OKC did it, they sucked bad for a few years, got a couple franchise guys, and now they're a great team. That's what this team has to do as well, and hope we can become great over a 3-4 year period like they did while this group matures and grows together.
Nobody will ever want to come here besides the borderline types that have stopped through town (Boozer, Okur, Jefferson) and we need to home grow the talent instead of trying to solve our problems with free agency. We can get the vets and glue guys we need through free agency when we have the stars in place. I think Dennis Lindsay is a bright guy, and I think his plan is to eventually fire Ty Corbin and get a guy who can grow with the team and put his stamp on it.Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

BYU could not land Jabari, but maybe the Jazz could talk him into staying when his rookie deal was done.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI just want them to be bad so they can get the franchise player this team needs. (But I doubt it. The kid seems to know how to play "the game". New York, LA, or Chicago will be his stop after his rookie deal if he develops into a superstar. The Jazz need a star who will want to stay. In today's NBA that may be tough to find.)

I don't know about that. You are too young to remember them, but the early Utah Jazz teams were pretty badOriginally posted by Sizzle View PostWorst. Team. Ever.
I may be small, but I'm slow.
A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

The Jazz are 1-13. Prorate that winning percentage over an 82 game season and you're talking 6 wins. Yes, that would be the worst team ever in NBA history by 3 games.Originally posted by happyone View PostI don't know about that. GS is "only" 8-5, Iggy hurt his hammy, and the team proved to be vulnerable again to a Curry injury. So there's that.
And if Marvin keeps shooting >40% from 3, some team is going to trade for him before the deadline. It'd be nice to get some asset this year for one or more of the vets on the team. I thought that guy would be Rush.
Utah is going to get hammered tomorrow at OKC. How long can Corbin stay on the bench with this happening?
