I believe you're being cheeky, but oh well ... Due to the lack of depth on this team, nothing is going to bump it up to second or first place in the league. But now is the time to make the team as competitive as possible, and at least represent some kind of challenge to Saint Mary's and Gonzaga.

It was said last night that Rose feels bad for Bryant. "He just doesn't know his role." It's obvious he's not alone—or at least he's letting Haws try to dictate his own role. This team isn't headed for a post season, unless they go wild / get lucky in the WCC tournament. I'm not convinced BYU is going to even finish in third place.

In fairness to Steve, that isn't quite what he said. Steve has been refreshingly honest and insightful when he does color on the BYU games this year. He isn't sugarcoating anything.

Speaking of Bryant, he is now at 9.7 ppg.

Conflicted on Haws. His offensive production to start the second half is essentially the difference in the game, but his turnovers definitely contribute to the teams struggles.

I have gone from the biggest Haws homer on the board to nearly giving up on him. He's just so unlikable for me right now. His body looks like he's put no effort into muscle gain his entire life. He shows little effort on D. Stands straight up. He's got a little bit of a punk, entitled kid attitude. His "fancy" stuff on offense stinks. That no look pass is putting me over the edge. When a dog is getting taught not to shit in the house, you shove his nose in his shit and wack him with a newspaper. Rose needs to show him replays of his "fancy" stuff and wack him on the nose with a newspaper until he figures it out. There was one Saturday that I just about lost it on. He's driving, Childs is open on the block, he turns his eyes away from Childs for a split second and passes the ball. The no look was such a split second, that no one had time to react. The defense did exactly nothing due to the no look, because it happened so fast, no one had time to react. But the no look took his eyes off the target and therefore he missed with the pass by about six inches. Those six inches caused Childs to have to react to the ball and slightly turn his body, so that he was out of position to finish. There's absolutely no difference between that no look pass and when when my dog crapped on the kitchen floor.

Gonzaga is coming in as the #1 team in the nation. BYU is a 15 point dog. I don't think BYU stays within 20 points of these buys.

Being a 15 point dog at home is pretty severe, seeing that our winning average age home is +19 points. Yikes.

Haws and Emery at this point make things almost unwatchable for me so in a sense I agree with Santos. Still, I do think we are young and there's a significant amount of improvement that will be garnered through an increase in maturity.

My guess is the Zags go up by 30 before Few calls off the dogs and BYU brings it back to about 20. Zags can write the number, as BYU is so undisciplined, doesn't defend and simply is a head case in close games against superior competition. Haws is unwatchable for me right now.
