I looked up Coppin State (need to prep for Thursday's game) and saw that they lost by 20 to Valpo last night. They play tomorrow night at Coastal Carolina. After cleaning up, they'll have a three-hour or so bus ride to Charlotte and then a four hour flight to SLC. They should be fresh for Thursday's game. Oh, and they play at Utah Friday night. Nice scheduling.

And Mika. I never thought Mika would be scoring like this. He's not going to average 26, but I never saw him averaging 16+ this season, which now seems pretty obvious.

In the WCC, does anyone other than Gonzaga and St Mary's have good bigs? Mika is a big reason to believe we won't be dropping silly losses to bad teams this year. I know it seems like ancient history now, but Rose's teams never used to do that until the last few post-Jimmer teams.

Wanted to mention that TJ Hawes said in the post game interview that the hardest thing that he's trying to get back after his mission is his lateral movement. He basically said that the shot never left.

It looks to me like any desire to play defense has yet to return. The 1-3-1 looked a lot more like a .5-3-1 when the Ginger Mamba was prowling up top.
