    • I know injuries are part of the game, and there are some bad ones pretty much every year, but between football and basketball, this seems to be the worst year for injuries in memory. It would be interesting to know the number of starters (including those who would have been--e.g., Kurtz, Aytes, etc.), and starter replacements who have missed games this year.

Add Haws to the list. He was helped off the court with out putting any pressure on his left ankle.

            • Coach Rose alluded to tweaking their approach to KC's knee in his post game comments. Hope he didn't have a setback.

No kidding. First the football team, now the basketball team. What kind of curse did those devil-worshiping ute fans concoct this year?

I think those Ute fans not involved in the curse, of which there would be but a few, would point to Jimmer's half court shot as the precursor to current events.

I remember that until Jimmer got mono, I don't think Rose lost a key player at any time in his tenure at BYU other than that JC PG who started who got the boot for getting a DUI after BYU beat SDSU to start off the MWC season in '07. However, once Jimmer got the bigM, it has been one bad injury after another. Chris Collinsworth, Davies didn't cover his stiffy when in a jiffy, Stephen Rodgers, Winder, Nate Austin, Kyle C, Tyler Haws, Noah Hartsock. Left and right key players missing or hobbled at key times.

The luck will change again, someday!

I predict that BYU will never beat Utah in any sport ever again until the LDS church formally apologizes for Jimmer's embarrassing antics at the Hunty.

                            • If Stanford repeats its 49 point performance they had against Denver U last week then maybe they're beatable without Haws playing.

But without Haws and KC and Austin (and Aytes)?
