Its funny for any one to argue conference strength based on the first weekend's tournament performance. A sweet 16 appearance can be an impressive weekend (Stanford) or a lucky draw (UCLA, San Diego State). Good teams can get matched up with teams that are underseeded (Louisville), overseeded (Oklahoma), or injured (Kansas). They can get locations that are advantageous (Wisconsin) or difficult to overcome (Dayton). The first weekend only proves something over a period of a decade or so. Teams that consistently make it to the second weekend are top programs. But one year is just a random snapshot.

Quick, someone tell the BIG 12 so we can show them we were just kidding about the no-Sunday play issue.Originally posted by beefyteeScheduled to play on Sunday."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I thought I saw on ESPN that it was Sunday, but on NCAA.com it has it on Saturday. They might have changed it already.
Edit: I think that the ESPN womens' tournament challenge is just messed up, because everywhere else I see it is Saturday.Last edited by beefytee; 03-24-2014, 08:41 PM.

BYU has some size which if unscouted lets them sneak up on a team. It will be interesting to see what happens against their next opponent. UConn. At least if they go out, they will go out against royalty.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostBYU women in the Sweet Sixteen!

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Excluding his contest winning, self alley-oop from mid-court, one foot inside the foul line Jordanesque dunk, I thought his first dunk was his best. The dude can fly.Originally posted by Surfah View PostOne footed jumpers always look so smooth. Those were some sick dunks.I'm your huckleberry.

That first dunk was nice. But I also really liked his behind the back dunk. BTW, he beat Mitchell Wiggins, Jr., older brother of Nick and Andrew.Originally posted by FN Phat View PostExcluding his contest winning, self alley-oop from mid-court, one foot inside the foul line Jordanesque dunk, I thought his first dunk was his best. So Bobby was on Mike and Mike and said that the NBA has raped college basketball. I hope one of the Mikes asked him if college basketball should lay back and enjoy it.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBobby Knight thought it was a good idea to talk about rape again

Damarcus Harrison with 14 second half points to lead a Clemson comeback win over Belmont. I'm glad things have worked out for him.

In the CS bracket challenge I really need wins this round from Baylor and Tennessee. That's my only shot at taking down cougjunkie and Surfah.
Those guys are killing it in the overall, btw. 96.6% on espn.com with tons of teams still playing.
